If you would like to help a Ronald McDonald house, take a look at Quiltaholics blog http://www.pigtalesandquilts.com/ for a quilt show.
Every year a group of great ladies from the HGTV Quilting board make gorgeous quilts to raffle off and the monies are given to a Ronald McDonald house here in the US. The quilters made 9-patch and flower blocks and sent them to Quiltaholic to put together for the raffle quilt! Check out her wonderful quilting work here http://www.coveryourlittlepiggies.com/home.html
This year there are 36 quilts to raffle. If you would like to inquire about purchasing ticket's send her an email and please put Ronald McDonald House Raffle in the subject line. Tickets are 2.00 each or 3 for 5.00. Sales will continue until September 11, 2010.
The Ronald McDonald House of Stanford located in Palo Alto, CA will be the recipient of 100% of the proceeds from the raffle! Linda Lyons, Development Director, is contact person at the House. Why don't you take a tour through their HOUSE!
One of the quilts for 2010 was designed by Linda Yokelson, Oriene Springstoh, and Helen Brady, all from the Riverwalk Quilters Guild in Napersville, IL. Quiltaholic spoke with Mrs. Yokelson on the phone and she has graciously given permission to show their quilt and to use their idea for the 2010 raffle quilt!
