Hurricane Irene

Prayers for those affected by Hurricane Irene.  We are getting lots of rain and wind but mild compared to those in the direct path of the storm.

It took us 4 days to get back from New York before Irene hit. We were less than 200 miles from NYC. Our RV park suggested that people leave while they could. Missed out on some nice fabric shops that I was going to visit.

So sorry for the delay responding your comment. Yes it wasn't too bad in our area but the the past week was rough on this area.
Flooding all around us. We had 2" in our basement from surface water. Never had water in the 29 years we lived here. Many lost homes and one local school flooded.

Sorry about your trip back from New York and missing out on the fabric shops. Glad you are safe though. Hope this last storm didn't cause damage in your area.
